Super Gurus

I told you that the post season is the Gurus time. Some have mocked calling us a joke. Some have been faithful followers and are starting to get the Gurus. Two weeks ago, the Gurus had another monster week going 3-1 overall, but cutting the annual deficit faster the George W can send more troops to Iraq. The deficit is a mere 6.5 stars on the year and today, we look to get into the black after a dismal start to the year dropping us to our largest deficit ever of over 30 stars. However, we are back and better than ever.

This game is simple. If Peyton Manning comes out on fire, the Colts win and win big. If he struggles early, the Bears will make a game of it. I don't care much about the Rex Grossman side...he is not going to win or lose this game, their defense will. I am betting on the Bears D to step up big and keep their team in the game. Take the generous 7 points for 2 stars.

I actually think the total is the best play. 47.5 is the most recent number I saw. The Bears are giving up points on D and their offense will be able to move the ball on the Colts. Go over the total of 47.5 for 4 stars. If Peyton finds the holes and scores at will, then this over will be in the bag at half.

There are 3 prop bets that I like: 1) Total INT's in the game of 2.5 - go over this number for 3 stars. The Bears are one of the best teams in the league at taking the ball away and we all know Rex's tendancies. 2) Go over the total number of Bears to score of 3 (kickers included). Rex will throw at least one...they will get at least one rushing...and the extra point makes three...not to mention the defense and special teams like to score as well...take this for 3 stars. 3) Peyton Manning over 22.5 completions for 3 stars as well. The Colts will attack the weakness of this defense, which is underneath passes. The Bears have the best deep pass defense in the league, but they let the passes up underneath to prevent the big play. Peyton will be patient and take the 10 yard completions.
